Following the climax of an investigation on Ibrahim Magu, the former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) by the Justice Ayo Salami-led panel, President has set up a committee to review the report submitted.
The four-man committee was set up by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Recall that Magu’s tenure as EFCC chairman has come under scrutiny with allegations of corruption trailing him.
He was also trailed by allegations of abuse of office.
Following the conclusion of its probe, the Justice Ayo Salami-led panel recommended the removal of Magu as EFCC boss for allegedly mismanaging recovered assets.
It also suggested that the agency should henceforth be headed by non-police officers.
