Mr. Eazi Explains Love For United Kingdom

Singer, Mr. Eazi, surfaced into the music industry like a breath of fresh air.

 

With his unique kind of music, he stole the hearts of fans garnering sold out concerts in Africa, United Kingdom and other parts of the world.

 

In a recent interview, the singer explains why he identifies more with the United Kingdom (UK).

 

According to him, the UK has always been the central point because there is so much mixed diaspora population there and they accepted his music first. Most of my successes can be tied to the UK, he said during the interview.

Mr. Eazi explains how his road to the UK started when he said, “I was in my office and I got a mail, saying that I should come and do five shows in the UK. The first show in Leicester had over 2,000 people and that was when I started to pay attention because I realised that something was really happening there.”

Mr. Eazi has since gone on several tours of the UK attracting hordes of fans to his shows.

Mr Eazi was born in Port Harcourt, the capital and largest city in Rivers State, Nigeria. He grew up in an entrepreneurial home. His mother owned a small business and his father is a pilot.

The latter parent established his own private aviation consulting practice. While attending primary school in Lagos, Mr Eazi had a brief stint in the school’s choir. During his upbringing, he listened to records his dad would play for the family while they ate breakfast.

At age 16, Mr Eazi relocated to Kumasi to further his educational endeavors. He enrolled at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and studied mechanical engineering. Mr Eazi started recording music during his time at KNUST.

He contributed guest vocals to the track “My Life”, a song that gained traction and became a popular record at KNUST. Prior to that, he established a party and promotion company called Swagger Entertainment. He used this platform to book shows and promote events on the campus of KNUST. When he was 23 years old, he returned to Nigeria and opened his own e-commerce platform
