Tunji Balogun, the former husband of singing sensation Tiwa Savage has apologised to media personality Toke Makinwa for calling her out days earlier.
Balogun who is popular as Teebillz called out Makinwa for inserting herself in singer 2face Idibia and Annie Macauley’s marriage crisis.
Makinwa had attacked 2face after he took to social media to announce his separation and planned divorce from his wife of 12 years, Annie Idibia. Read here
Reacting to Makinwa’s comment, Teebillz via his Instagram page on Thursday, January 30, asked the media personality to stay out of people’s marriages. He stated that having a child for a man is a different type of forgiveness and love that Makinwa has yet to attain.
Teebillz, also revealed that Makinwa said some ‘’n0nsense” about him sometime back when he had his marital crisis with singer Tiwa Savage.
However, in a change of heart, Teebillz during an interview with Freeze made an unreserved apology. He argued that he was triggered by Makinwa’s outburst about being disappointed and ashamed of 2face’s public declaration of their separation.
“I would like to publicly apologize to Toke. I think my message was misconstrued because, at the end of the day, we are all family. You see, this feminist thing is getting out of hand.
“My question is, where was she all this while in Annie’s life? You see these reality shows [Young Famous and African], they just want to prey on people’s flaws to make content. Nobody holy pass. When I saw this thing, all I did was pray for this couple because, at the end of the day, who’s going to help who?
“This separation is a blessing for Annie and 2Baba to fix themselves. Who knows whether they are coming back together tomorrow? Who are we to choose sides?”
