Two years ago, we begin this wonderful journey. You all went out to give us your mandate and we are here today counting two years.
Firstly, I have to give God the glory for letting us get this far and also my mentor Hon. Temitope Adewale Adedeji, member representing constituency 01 at the Lagos State House of Assembly for his usual support, guidance and encouragement from the beginning.
I also must acknowledge the support of my able executive chairman whose support has been so tremendous on all fronts, in fact, I am grateful.
The content within this document depicts love, friendship, loyalty and the trust placed in me, Hon. Ibrahim Adenekan, the councilor representing Ward C2 in Ifako Ijaiye legislative arm.
In 2021, I set out on a journey to explore,
develop and implement innovative ideas for the development of our very own ward with the zeal to take the Ifako Ijaiye local government to the next level.
Basically, the three basic responsibilities of a lawmaker are Representation, Lawmaking and Oversight but my vision to see my constituent thrive among others, was key to my aspiration to
represent my people.
The journey has not being easy but gets
excited by the challenge to improve and make substantive impact as each day passes by.
I believe passionately in the idea of making a difference by ensuring our constituents enjoy full dividends of democracy and also create an avenue, focused on building the capacity of the youth for future purpose.
In over 2 years, I have been able to showcase my intentions through my delegations and achievements.
I have also represented you all considerably, by participating in bills processes that has become bye laws while I extensively scrutinize and ensure proper utilization of tax payers money through our oversight functions.
I have also raise the bar in making impacts in the education sector, health sector as well as facilitating some road constructions and installation of pipe borne water among others.
This document shall reveal to us my achievements so far in this regards as well as other activities which has catapulted the ward to being a toast of others.
Stated below, are list of my achievements so far:
1. Reconstruction of borehole in mojisola street.
2. Organizing a maiden community stakeholder meeting within the Ward to herness unity and love amongst all residents.
3. Supports students of the community with free 15 GCE forms and free tutorials class to all beneficiaries.
4. Distribution of 2000 note books to student withing the community.
5. Facilitating LASSRA officers to strategic point in the community to ensure easy registration.
6. Donating refreshment to 4 public primary school teachers to celebrate last year 2021 & this year 2022 teachers Day at Karaole, Ayanleye, Coker
7. Joined the teeming Youths of the ward to celebrate the world clean up Day 2021 and support the LAWMA officials with the necessary tools to aid ease and proper delivery of their duties and to propagate their saying “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”.
8. As part of his Legislative duties, Hon. Ibrahim went on for an inspection tour to Bishop Oluwole primary school to inspect the blocks of classrooms being constructed by Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat led administration.
9. He also inspect Rafatu road in Iju Ishaga, Orimolade street and Eyiowuawi street and was successfully completed
10. He facilitated provision of second newly built bore hole at mojisola street by the member house of assembly representing FKJ 01.
11. Provision of food packs to the less privileged.
12. Led the youths of his Ward to emerge bronze winner in the maiden UAH inter Ward football competition.
13. 50 Scholarship for students in Ifako Ijaiye to Graceland Polytechnic.
14. Free 25 Jamb forms to students in Ifako Ijaiye.
15. Cash gifts, food items to Mosques & Constituents.
16. As the chairman house committee on works, housing and infrastructural, he joins the leader of the legislative arm, the executive chairman and the house of representative member to inspect the eroding part of the obawole bridge and ascertain the level of the damage, also visited the newly obawole public primary school facilitated by the member House of Representative Hon. James Adisa Owolabi.
16. He moved a motion at the floor of the house to rescue Oluwakemi close from flood to enhance adequate living and safety for the entire household within the community & also moved motion for all contractors to come defend their various awarded project couple with their document and tender board that shows various specifications as the chairman house committee on works & infrastructure at the legislative chamber.
17. As the chairman house committee on works and infrastructure, the honorable councilor reps ward c2 also moved a motion to invite the member house of assembly on a 3 Days working tour as part of our oversight function to all completed and ongoing project in the local government, areas affected by the ecological disaster and also appreciate the state government for laudable project in the local government.
18. He Partner with a foreign tech company in the UK (UTIVA TECH) to empower 20 youth with Free Tech Scholarship in his Ward. Also partners with companies in his ward like Noble Synthetic Hair & Solphia Xpression and they were assured of job opportunities for the youth.
19. Empowers 30 widows, Aged & Artisans with cash worth of three hundred thousand naira (#300,000).
20 Facilitated 3 slot of IBILE YOUTH INITIATIVE 2022 form to students in his Ward as part of the beneficiaries.
21. Introduces new year community needs assessment and PVC sensitization towards the election which ascertain the total outcome of the results of the previous election in the local government.
22. Doles out free jamb form for the 3rd edition of his educational outreach within the community.
23. Facilitate a loan scheme from the Lagos state employment trust fund (LSETF) for his constituents.
24. Had an interface with the community leaders , zonal coordinators and all CDAs in his constituency.
25. He doles out 200k worth cash support to some youth organizations and movement in his constituency such as Mojisola youth movement , Coker Youth Movement and also the Arogangan community.
26. He gave out sewing machine and cash gift to some of his constituents as his second phase of his community empowerment.
27. He oversighted the longest road construction in the local government as part of the road facilitated by member house of assembly hon. Adewale Temmitope Adedeji JAH and in due time it will be completely done for our people to ply
28. As part of his educational support outreach. He sponsored the annual inter house sport competition of ayanleye memorial primary school in his ward and was decorated by the pupils as the patron, meanwhile during the competition his house blue house (Phylums house) came out first as the competition ended.
29. As the chairman house committee on business rule he went ahead to pay a short courtesy visit to the access bank and also designed part of the sponsorship programme with the institution in other to continue to engage the community and also discussed on matter relating to the growth and wellbeing of our community.
30. As a first timer at the legislative arm he was able to proof his capability by records and granted about different couple of appointment during the campaign election of BAT/SHETTI to serve as Member at the PCC national youth coordination (south west) , Member South west JAGABAN Army Lagos brigade & ICC Youth and mobilization. Meanwhile after all said and done he was nominated for several global awards and above all won about 5 different awards also such as The most outstanding councilor of the year 2022 by Global times & by 2023 he was given a recommendation award from the prestigious Yaba college of tech (YABATECH) for his contribution in student leadership growth, hardwork , dedication and commitment to student community and many more..
31. During the campaign for the electioneering processes He organizes community games which include chess, Ayo Oloopon, scrabble and table tennis where winners went home with cash gift prizes within his community.
32. Hon Adenekan rolled out his 3rd phase of his community empowerment by giving out cash gift and food items to his constituents as he deemed it fit to understand the cash crunched faced by his people which might in one way or the other finds it hard to feed immensely and cater for their family
33. During the past election he engaged his community through house to house and door to door campaign to mobilize for all APC candidate which involve several distribution of souvenirs, cash gift and food items to individual households and it yield a positive result, the honorable councilor won in all polls and deliver his ward to emerge each candidate’s.
34. Hon. Adenekan presented Ramadan package relief to Muslims in the community, organizes public lectures in loving memory of his late parents and also doles out cash gift to mosques.
35. He facilitated the rehabilitation of roads within his community such as Mojisola street, Ajenifuja Street, and lots more through the office of member, house of assembly (Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji) and member, Lagos state public school rehabilitation who was the former sole of the local government (Hon. BIQ Rajh Label).
36. He’s set to partner with the GOLDPLUG ENT to introduce the HOOD BLOCK PARTY for the youth of the community which will also serve as an avenue for everyone to come together yearly to have fun and also support the present administration’s government.
37. The councilor representing the good people of ward c2 also facilitated the free health scheme brought to his community from the Lagos state health management agency LASHMA, to ensure free medical health care for all every individuals.
38. He’s also set to organize a community engagement with stakeholder , leaders and members of his community to sensitize them on the topic “waste management; challenges, importance & it’s possible solutions” which the HOD, Environmental Health Services Department. Ifako Ijaiye LG is the guest speaker.

Presently working on the executive bill on collection of rates from point of sales (POS) operators within the local government & Also Environmental Sanitation & Defecation and passing all into Law.
