The Federal Government has extended the deadline for the linkage of National Identity Number (NIN) to Subscriber Identity Module (SIM).
The deadline has been extended by eight weeks.
This disclosure was made by the Director, Public Affairs, Nigerian Communications Commission, Ikechukwu Adinde.
Adinde said the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, conveyed the message during the meeting of the Ministerial Taskforce on NIN-SIM registration which held on the 1st of February, 2021.
Recall that the exercise has been marred by different challenges like overcrowding and other logistics issues, hence the extension.
With this, the new deadline is now April 6.
