No Plan To Shut Down Financial Transactions-CBN

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has debunked the rumour that it is set to shut down banking services from Thursday, February 23 till Monday, February 27.
This follows a viral Whatsapp message claiming the apex bank will be shutting down before the election.
According to the message, bank networks will be shut down so that politicians won’t be able to send money to people to vote.
Reacting to the message via its Instagram page on Wednesday, February 22, the apex bank described the rumour as Fake News.
