Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable has been arraigned by the Ogun State Police Command.

Portable was arraigned at an Ogun State Magistrate Court in Isabo, Abeokuta, on Thursday, February 20th, 2025.
Magistrate O.L. Oke set the bail for the musician whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola at N2 million, with a surety in like sum.
Portable is facing a five-count charge, including conspiracy, assault, possession of cutlasses and firearms with intent to cause injury, and conducting himself in an unruly manner. The singer, however, pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The charges stem from an alleged assault on officials of the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA).
Following the incident, Portable went into hiding, while nine of his associates were arrested and arraigned on related charges, including armed violence, felony, obstruction, and intent to kill.
The suspects – Oluwaseun Ayenuwa (19), Precious Ohiegebo (19), Oluwapelumi Adeosun (20), Gospel Kanu (20), Nurudeen Warris (21), Adetola Alashe (25), Fatimo Muhammed (26), Ifeoluwa Babatunde (27), and Samuel Adeleke (28) are facing charges of armed violence with cutlasses and guns, assault, and other offenses.
Portable appeared in court visibly emotional, reportedly shedding tears. His defense counsel, Oluwatoyin Ayodele, requested bail, emphasizing that the singer is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Ayodele assured the court that Portable would appear for all future hearings.
In granting bail, Magistrate Oke issued a stern warning, telling Portable that any further social media posts or troublemaking would result in the loss of bail. Oke also cautioned that missing court appearances would lead to the revocation of bail.
Interestingly, when questioned about his mental health, Portable confirmed he was “alright and healthy.”
The case was adjourned to March 5th for further proceedings.
