There is a high level of tension and uncertainty in Ondo State as citizens go out to vote today.
The tension is explainable following the high level of violence that had been witnessed in the state ahead of the election.
Top three contenders in the election are the incumbent, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Eyitayo Jegede of the rival Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) candidate, Agboola Ajayi.
Presently, as citizens head out to vote, the uncertainty of who will win the election, the possibility of a new governor emerging or the return of the incumbent has seen them a little overwhelmed.
The Octopus News can report that as at Friday, October 9, all sensitive materials for the election had been dispatched to various points of needs, as officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) prepare for the election proper.
