One More Governor To Leave PDP-Wike

Following the defection of Governor David Umahi of Enonyi State to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), his counterpart in Rivers State, Governor Nyesom Wike has revealed that another governor is also set to join the party.
Governor Wike made this known on Wednesday, November 18, while reacting to the defection of Governor Umahi.
Recall that Governor Umahi defected from the opposition party, People Democratic Party (PDP), after weeks of his rumoured plan to defect.
Wike said: “I can tell you, there is one PDP governor that will leave.”
Governor Wike, however, declined to give the name of the governor or when he will leave the party.
However, he told Governor Umahi, to stop blackmailing the PDP and spreading falsehood in order to justify his defection.
The Rivers state governor said contrary to the injustice claim made by Umahi as a reason for his defection, he joined the APC for a presidential bid, adding that his move was not surprising, as he had been romancing with the ruling party prior to the official declaration.
