Orji Uzor Kalu’s Reprieve

The prison is definitely not a place for the wealthy and affluent.
But when circumstances lead a man of means to such a place, he can only hope for a way out.
One man who understands this analogy is Orji Uzor Kalu, the erstwhile Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia North in the Senate.
Having been found guilty of allegedly stealing public funds, the man was sentenced to 12 years in jail.
However, reprieve came for him when a court ruled that his case was heard out of jurisdiction.
The situation has thus seen Uzor Kalu walking away a free man, at least for the main time.
