Pastor Adeboye Criticises FG On Proposed Tax Increase, Border Closure

Speaking on the  plan, Pastor Adeboye, said the move will further increase the burdens on Nigerians.

He also said the proposed reintroduction of toll gates on the federal government was insensitive.

The plan, he said, shouldn’t be considered at a time most federal roads were in pitiable conditions, adding that the federal government, should refocus its plans and programmes toward initiatives that would lessen the suffering and burdens of Nigerians.

Adeboye who recently spoke at the Special Independence Day Celebration of the church at its headquarters, RCCG, Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, aslso prayed for Nigeria as a country and Nigerian politicians.

Criticizing the closure of the borders to prevent importation of rice, he said that the idea was ill-conceived because it has made the staple unavailable to most Nigerians, adding that the federal government should henceforth focus on initiating policies that would lessen the sufferings and burdens of Nigerians.
