The newly sworn-in National Chairman of the Peopls Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus has been advised to be magnanimous in victory and work with other National Chairmanship aspirants who lost out at the last Saturday, 9th December 2017 elective National Convention of the party.
The advice was contained in a congratulatory message sent to the newly elected National Chairman of the party by the Chairman of Ogun State chapter of PDP, Hon Sikirulai Ogundele.
In the congratulatory message signed by the Ogun State Publicity Secretary of PDP, Allaji Malik Ibitoye on behalf of the state chairman and made available to the media, Hon Ogundele was quoted to have said that “the successful holding of our National Convention is a victory for all the members of our party. This should show the strength of our commitments to rebuild and reposition the PDP in order to political power back from the All Progressive Congress (APC), which has clearly demonstrated its failures in giving Nigerians good governance.
“All the chairmanship aspirants who withdrew from the race and all those who fought gallantly through the electoral process should be integrated and brought on board to mobilize support for our party in our quest to reclaim the presidential seat in 2019.” Ogundele said.
While throwing the full support of the Ogun State chapter of the PDP behind the Uche Secondus led National Working Committee of the party, Hon Sikirulai Ogundele stated that, “The Ogun Stae PDP believes in your capacity to lead our party to victory in 2019 and with the quality of members of your National Executives, we are confident that nothing will be spared in the victorious march to Aso Rock in 2019. We rejoice and congratulate you on this landmark victory.”
In the same vein, Hon Ogundele felicitate with members of the PDP in the state on the emergence of Elder Yemi Akinwonmi as the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the PDP at the Convention.
“Elder Akinwonmi is our leader in Ogun State with uncommon political experience and sagacity to compliment the National Chairman. Ogun PDP is highly elated to have such a wondrous political enigma to serve in the National organ of our party.’’ Hon Ogundele declared
