The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has declared controversial businessman, Arakat Audullahi, popularly known as Saheed Mosadoluwa or Mr. Ibile, wanted.
A special police gazette bulletin announcing Mosadoluwa’s wanted status was posted at the Zone 2 Command of the Nigeria Police in Onikan, Lagos.
Mosadoluwa, the Chairman of Harmony Garden and Estate Development Limited and Ibile Auctioneers and Recovery Limited, faces multiple serious charges, including conspiracy, attempted murder, assault, kidnapping, unlawful possession of firearms, and the attempted murder of Mrs. Modupe Olayinka Idowu Oni-Orisan Damazio on July 22, 2024.
The police have urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to report to the nearest police station or contact the Assistant Inspector General of Police at Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos, using the following numbers: 08067520858 or 0803351628.
In 2022, Lagos-based businesswoman Adeyinka Igbinoba accused Mosadoluwa of assaulting her and her brother-in-law at his office in Victoria Garden City (VGC), Lagos State. According to reports from “PUNCH Metro”, Igbinoba’s sisters had paid Mosadoluwa N30 million as part payment for a parcel of land. When they suspected fraud and requested a refund, their efforts were met with hostility.
Igbinoba claimed that during a resolution meeting, Mosadoluwa attacked her with a plank, attempting to strike her head. She managed to avoid the blow, but he allegedly kicked her to the ground and struck her ankle with the plank, shattering her bones.
In October 2023, the Lagos State government arraigned Mosadoluwa at an Oshodi Magistrate Court on various charges, including kidnapping. Court documents revealed that he faced four counts, including conspiracy, malicious destruction of property, violent conduct, assault occasioning bodily harm, and violation of human rights.
In September 2023, public interest lawyers from the Lawyers for Reform Group (LRG) called on the Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, to investigate Mosadoluwa’s alleged use of police orderlies for land grabbing and other criminal activities. During a press conference in Abuja, the LRG accused Mosadoluwa of engaging over 30 police officers to carry out illegal activities, including attempted murder.
In another incident reported by “SaharaReporters”, Mosadoluwa and his associates allegedly brutalized a man named Adetunji, stripping him naked in an attack linked to land grabbing disputes.
The lawyers have called on President Bola Tinubu, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), the National Security Adviser (NSA), and Lagos State law enforcement authorities to investigate and prosecute anyone found guilty of these alleged crimes.
