Man Rapes 85-Year-old Woman To Coma*** Says I Only Did ‘Two Rounds’
The Osun State Police Command have arrested a man who allegedly raped an 85-year-old woman to coma in Ilesa, a commercial town in the State.
The suspect, Kehinde Ariyo, 29, is said to have committed the heinous act last Friday
The police commissioner in the state, Mr. Fimihan Adeoye, who paraded the suspect disclosed to journalists in Osogbo, that the incident happened at Ogudu area of the town, where the suspect forcefully had canal knowledge of the old woman after gaining access to her residence around 11pm last Friday.
He added that the woman sustained various degrees of injuries on her body, including her private part, and eventually passed out in the process before she was resuscitated at a private hospital.
According to the CP, the suspect lives in the same area where the victim resides, and had gone on errands for the old woman severally in the past.
“The woman passed out during the rape, but came back to life after some hours, the suspect was arrested the next day.
“This is the height of wickedness in our society. The boy injured the woman in the process, but she has been treated”, Adeoye said.
In a chat with Daily Trust, Ariyo admitted to the heinous act, claiming to have been drunk after attending a party and needed a place to pass the night.
He said he pleaded with the woman which she agreed and allowed him to sleep on a couch in the passage but he later went to approach the woman in the room where she was sleeping.
“In the night, I went to the room where the woman slept and told her that I needed to tell her something. I told her to open her door and she did. I cannot remember other things. I just know that it was not more than two rounds and I know it was the work of Satan.”
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of police vowed that the suspect would be prosecuted after necessary investigation have been conducted.
