The Oniru family in Lagos State is one that is celebrated in the social and party circles, and when they throw a get-together, it is always the talk of the town for a very long time.
However, that tradition was not what was witnessed when one of the scions of the family, Prince Mustapha, celebrated his wedding in Ireland as very few of the Lagos State society faces graced the event.
The last son of Oba Abiodun Oniru walked the aisle on Thursday, August 15, in the small town of County Armahg, Northern Ireland, with his 27-year-old bride, Kristy Crooks.
The guests include the parents of the groom, Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru and Olori Arike Oniru and their entourage of officials and chiefs.
While the groom and bride were dressed in English attires, the royal entourage was clad in traditional attires.
Prince Oniru and Crooks first met at The British International School, Lagos, Nigeria, where the bride was teaching.
Though currently teaching French and German in Uxbridge, London, the bride is expected to return to Lagos next year. In the meantime, they have gone to Saint Tropez and Monaco, France, for their honeymoon.
