Music Rape Allegation: Police Reacts To IGP’s Order To Investigate D’banj’s Arrest Of Seyitan Babatayo Published 5 years ago on July 2, 2020 By The Octopus News Admin The Nigeria Police has reacted to an order by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), to investigate the arrest and detention of Seyitan Babatayo. Recall that Babatayo had claimed that she was arrested and detained by the police for alleging that she was raped by D’banj in 2018. Reacting to the order of the IGP, a police source revealed that at no time was the lady arrested by the police. He revealed that the singer reported three different times at FCID for interrogation and statement but his accuser Babatayo never showed up until the dispatch of officers by Force CID to Lagos to invite her. The source said that Babatayo was invited for interrogation and to write her statement on the allegation of rape. “There might a mix up by the Seyitan’s legal representatives over the claim that she was arrested and detained by the Nigerian Police officers at Ikeja for one full day,” the source said. D’banj has consistently maintained his innocence on the allegation brought against him.
