Rasheed Bolarinwa, Group Head of Brand Management & Corporate Communication at Polaris Bank Limited and President of the Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks in Nigeria (ACAMB), has been announced as the keynote speaker for an upcoming conference titled “Crisis Communication in the Age of Misinformation and Disinformation.”
The virtual conference, scheduled for November 7, 2024, will bring together global experts to discuss strategies for keeping brands, businesses, and the public well-informed and resilient amid today’s complex media landscape.
In an invitation seen by “The Octopus News“, organizers Pan Atlantic University revealed that the event will feature a panel session covering various sub-themes, including “The Role of the Media in Curbing Disinformation,” led by Mr. Obinna Chima, Editor of “ThisDay on Saturday”; “Legal Implications and Regulatory Frameworks to Combat Disinformation,” with Ekemini Udim, Esq., Senior Partner at Justice Chambers; and “Brand Strategies for Navigating Disinformation,” presented by Mr. Keni Akintoye, Founder and CEO of KT Communication and a certified expert in brand management, digital media, and marketing communication.
Another significant sub-theme, “Technological Solutions to Disinformation,” will be addressed by Mr. Oluwaseun Olaniyi, Founder of UK-Based TechPR Africa.
According to the conference organizers, these discussions will provide valuable insights for participants in navigating the challenges of disinformation in today’s digital age.
