Singer, Tekno, has been arrested for his involvement with the semi-nude girls seen dancing in a transparent truck along Lekki and Victoria Island axis.
Days back, ladies clad in bikini were spotted with the singer seductively pole-dancing in a transparent truck while he threw cash at them.
Against seroius backlash, the singer apologized saying that he was shooting a video and the car meant to transport the models got spoilt, hence he had to improvise by transporting the girls to the venue of the shoot via the truck. He also said he did not intentionally set out to breach public decency.
His apology however seems to have fallen on deaf ears, as he was invited for questioning and subsequently arrested.
Lagos police spokesman, Bala Elkana, confirmed that the singer was invited on Tuesday, August 6, for questioning at the state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti, Yaba over the incident.
“The command has arrested Tekno and the two girls for conveying half-naked girls at the Lekki area of Lagos.
“He is presently undergoing questioning at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti,” Mr Elkana said.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency has suspended the licence of the advertising firm, Pro-Vision Media Systems Limited, owners of Tekno used to convey the girls.
The agency citted the promotion of indeceny as the reason for suspending the company’s licence.
