Never has James Faleke ever wanted anything as he yearned to be the Governor of Kogi State.
When the tussle for who becomes the governor started, Faleke was sure he would emerge winner.
As realistic as it seems after the death of his running mate and All Progressive Congress (APC), gubernatorial candidate, Abubakar Audu it became more difficult as events developed.
With the emergence of the runner-up in the party’s governorship primaries Yahaya Bello as governor, Faleke began to understand that indeed there might be a grater force debarring his ambition.
Gradually, Faleke began to accept the fact that his ambition was merely a dream after all.
Unlike before when Faleke always had the louder voice when issues of Kogi State politics was being discussed, he has taken the back seat, as it became real that he had been edged out of contention.
As each day passes, Faleke accepts his loss, as he looks to remedying what is left of his political career.
Presently, the man has decided to go back to the drawing board to plan strategies of his renewed relevance in the next political dispensation which comes in four years.
