If there was trouble in the political paradise of the Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, it is now a thing of the past.
Hardly had he settled down to celebrating his victory at the polls after winning the last Ondo gubernatorial election that he was dragged to court in a bid to upturn his victory.
Akeredolu’s detractors focused their arsenal on the road to his emergence as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The lawsuit filed by Nathaniel Adojutelegan after the APC adopted an indirect mode of primary for the selection of its candidate for the election was however struck out by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Justice Okon Abang ruled that the suit was statute-barred, having been filed outside the 14 days allowed.
The situation thus settled the crisis that had been brewing and threatening the peace of the Ondo State first citizen.
