RevolutionNow: Sambo Denies Ownership Of Social Media Accounts

Former Vice President, Namadi Sambo, has distanced himself from the RevolutionNow protest convened by Omoyele Sowore.
Sambo was quoted in a Facebook post as saying that he was in support of the aborted RevolutionNow protest.
However, he has now denied ownership of the social media accounts and has rejected the post made on other social media accounts purportedly operated in his name by unidentified persons.
He described the messages as being the handiwork of mischief makers who are bent on creating confusion and disaffection to overheat the polity.
The former Vice President has taken steps to report the account to the management of Facebook as well as to alert relevant security agencies to monitor and track those behind the dreadful activity for prosecution, a source also added.
In a statement personally signed by Sambo and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna, he disowned the Facebook account spreading the falsehood.
The statement read: “My attention has been drawn to unsolicited acts by some unscrupulous political jobbers that have sponsored and spread messages on Facebook and other social media platforms, purportedly conveying messages from my person.”
The former vice president was quoted in a Facebook post as saying that he was in support of the aborted RevolutionNow protest engineered by Omoyele Sowore, publisher of Sahara Reporters now in DSS detention.
