Service To Community Should Not Be Dependent On Being In Government-Banky W 

Singer cum politician, Bankole Wellington popular as Banky W, has taken a swipe at politicians who maintain that they are going into politics to serve the people.

According to Banky W, service to community should not be dependent on being in government.

Banky W who was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the House of Representatives election in Eti-Osa federal constituency of Lagos State, lost to the Labour Party (LP) candidate in the 2023 general election.

Explaining service to the community, Banky W took to Twitter to state that not getting a seat in government shouldn’t stop one from serving the community.

He wrote: “If our service to community was only dependent on whether we got a seat in the government, then we don’t deserve a seat in the first place.”
