Seun Kuti has cleared the air on suggestion that Burna Boy’s mum, Bose Ogulu, danced for Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
Days back, a picture of Fela and a dancer on stage went viral, sparking off speculations that the woman was Burna Boy’s mum.
However, reacting to the speculations, Seun wrote: “That isn’t Burna Boy’s mum. Except Burna Boy’s mum is Yemi.”
He later added: “I’m sure my dad didn’t even know her even if Uncle B was his manager.”
Uncle B is how Benson Idonije, Fela’s first band manager is fondly called by Fela’s scions.
Mr Idonije is the father of Burna Boy’s mum.
