Several months before the primary elections held in Kwara State, one of the biggest talking points was that Sherriff Shagaya, son of business woman and socialite, Bola Shagaya, was aspiring to become the governor of the state.
Realising that particular dream was quite tall he charted a new course to via for House of Representatives under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
At that point many believed that with his mother’s connection in the Presidency and being a member of the ruling party at the federal level he was likely to win the election.
Despite impressive names lined up to contest the election a lot of people still fancied Shagaya’s chances.
However, since the primary election held and as the election draw nearer, the profile of Shagaya seems to have grown thinner contrary to the expectations of his followers and supporters.
Interestingly, more aggressive campaigns is been witnessed from the candidate of the ruling party in the state.
