Nigeria’s Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has lambasted Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr.
The minister’s reaction is overhisa fallout of the ”unfair treatment” of players from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Dare urged Rohr to focus on doing his work.
Rohr has been seriously criticised since taking the job of the head coach of the Super Eagles. His latest undoing has been his not inviting home based players to the national team.
Dare expressed his disappointment with Rohr after he visited the home-based players at their Abuja camp ahead of the trip to the United States.
Dare urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to talk with Rohr regarding his behaviour towards NPFL players.
“Rohr’s attitude towards home-based players is unacceptable, it’s negative to our football development and I call on the NFF to call him to order,” Dare said.
“Rohr needs to shut up and do the work of his contract, he talks too much,” Dare concluded.
