A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has annulled the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election that produced Senator Emmanuel Bwacha.
Until the annulment, Senator Bwacha was the flagbearer of the APC in Taraba State for the 2023 general elections.
Senator representing Taraba Central, Yusuf A. Yusuf, in the lawsuit he instituted, said the party’s governorship primary was not conducted in the state.
Ruling on the case, the court asked the leadership of the APC to conduct a fresh governorship primary in Taraba.
Bwacha was also asked to desist from parading himself as the party’s governorship candidate for Taraba.
Reacting to the court ruling, APC spokesman in the state and Bwacha’s campaign director of media and publicity, Aaron Artimas, said plans to appeal the ruling are in the pipeline.
