Nigerians have been asked by the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi to take up a case against Musiliu Akinsanya popular as MC Oluomo, if they have any evidence against him.
MC Oluomo
This comes days after the force was criticised for being quick to drag singer Portable to court on charges of theft and assault but have been silent on the threat meted out to voters by MC Oluomo during the last direction.
Recall that Oluomo was filmed asking a certain ‘’Iya Chukwudi’ to stay at home if she will not be voting for the All Progressive Congress (APC). Many interpreted it to be a subtle threat to Igbos, not to participate in the election if they won’t be voting for APC. On the day of the election, touts went about asking people to stay in their houses if they weren’t voting for APC.
Despite several complain by Nigerians, the police did nothing about the situation. However, CSP Adejobi told residents to disregard the comment and see it as a joke.
A Twitter user with the handle @AjammaS, has now called out Adejobi, stating that the CSP asking people to take MC Oluomo’s comment as a joke, led to the assault of many Nigerians who believed his judgment.
Responding to the Twitter user, Adejobi asked him to take a case of attack up with Oluomo if he has evidence of attacks against him. He added that MC Oluomo has no immunity and so can be tried.
