The benevolence of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote is popular around the world.
Over the years, the man has touched the lives of several underprivileged individuals via his foundation.
His contribution to rebuilding the insurgent-ravaged north-eastern part of Nigeria remains second to none.
So also has his contribution to fighting COVID-19 through the Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) been immeasurable.
However, memories of the man’s kind gestures seem to have faded off the minds of a lot of people, as a deliberate campaign aimed at maligning his person appears to have been launched by some faceless individuals.
Only recently, the marauders behind the mudslinging targeted at Dangote went to town dishing out false information that he was behind a deliberate price hike of some consumable products.
According to them, while the prices of the products could have easily gone down, Dangote had ensured that they remained expensive.
Though the allegation has since been described as false by Dangote’s image-makers, the question of who is after the businessman and why remains unanswered.
