Osarenkhoe, one time manager of musician Skales has opened up on how she was forced to step-down as his manager.
Speaking via an exclusive statement made available to us; Osarenkhoe said “Skales is still signed to Baseline Records. I had to sign an undertaking to step down as his manager. At the moment, I’m focused on my family, myself, my team and other projects.”
The drama between the artist manager and Baseline Records began last week when Osarenkhoe was arrested and allegedly remanded in police custody for 36 hours after a petition alleging fraud was written against her by Baseline Records.
In the petition, the record label accused Osarenkhoe of failing to remit funds received on behalf of Skales between March and May 2016.
However, Osarenkhoe via a statement is quoted to have said, “For the avoidance of all doubts, I didn’t steal from Baseline. There has never been, and will never be any basis to conclude that I have been dubious or fraudulent in my dealings with the label. What we have done is to keep our work and lives going on, following inaction from them. Everything I have done, from allowing him sign with the label to date was always in Skales’ interest; at the end of the day not for my personal gains.’
