The Nigeria Police has explained why Seun Kuti was seen in an handcuff.
Recall that the singer appeared in a handcuff after he surrendered himself to the police, leading to several questions.
Reacting to the questions, spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said that it is a normal procedure for any suspect to be handcuffed before detention.
Recall that the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, ordered Kuti’s arrest after he was seen in a viral video shoving a police officer before slapping him.
Baba also ordered an investigation into the immediate cause of his action and prosecution accordingly.
