Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe has described as ‘compensation’ the ministerial nomination of the former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.
Ogunlewe noted while appearing on a Channels Television program, that Wike was compensated for his role in Bola Tinubu’s election as President.
Ogunlewe, a former Lagos federal lawmaker noted that Wike was not the only one that worked for the success of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the presidential election. He stated that former Governors Dave Umahi and Nasir El-Rufai merit their nominations based on their antecedents.
He said;
“It is so easy to decipher. If you are following the development that cumulated in the last election, you would know the role Wike played and you must give him compensation for that role.
“Everybody participated actively in the success of the APC, whether you are in opposition or not.”
Ogunlewe warned the nominees not to work against the party’s manifesto, adding that Tinubu “will not allow cabinet members to mess him up”.
