The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has advocated for more economic sanctions on South Africa.
Oshiomhole, called for a total buycott of South African goods and services, urging President Muhammadu Buhari to immediate initiate steps to nationalize South Africa-owned telecommunication giant MTN, adding that a stoppage of landing right to South Africa Airline be also enacted.
The call by the APC national Chairman follows the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians living in the South Africa.
Comrade Oshiomhole who addressed members of the media late on Thursday after a meeting of the National Working Committee NWC of the ruling party, insists that Nigeria cannot continue to endure the brazen assault on her nationals.
He said the explanation so far given by South African authorities suggest a premeditated action as he accused the African National Congress ANC and the South Africa government of backing the killings of Nigerians, adding thatn the nation has found it difficult to arrest and sentence perpetrators of xenophobic attacks in the country.
