The last has not been heard of the unfolding drama between YCee and Michael Ugwu, General Manager, Sony Music West Africa.
Days back, YCee had called out the company which he signed a contract with insisting they were trying to rip him off his hard work and sweat.
The singer, went on to say that he bare understood some part of the contract he signed.
Days after, Ugwu, has deemed it fit to reply the Tinny Entertainment act, YCee.
To enlighten YCee, Ugwu gave him a lecture. Something like what a big brother would do to hid kid brother. According to him, YCee’s call out on social media won’t be the first nor the last. Ugwu, advised YCee to adopt a proper channel of contract dispute resolution which involves Negotiation, Mediation, Abitration and Litigation.
Further, Ugwu, noted that a contract is a voluntary agreement between two or more parties that is enforceable by law as a binding legal agreement. Furthermore, Ugwu said making false statement against another which harms his reputation such as defamatory statements broadcast over the media would only lead to libel.

For many, this statement amounts to a treat if YCee does not cease and desist from further libel.
Ycee joins acts such as Brymo who have failed to live up to the expectations of their contracts.
Year back, Brymo, then a member of Chocolate City was dragged to court having failed to honour his contract with his label.
Though it was an harrowing experience for the young singer, the case which is still in court seems to have died a natural death.

Meanwhile, YCee is not the only Nigerian singer signed to Sony Music West Africa, Tekno, Davido and several other artiste have agreement with Sunny West Africa.
At a point, it was vogue to have a contract with the company, but presently things seems to be taking another swing.
