Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, was recently in a war of words with a critic on social media.
The critic came for the singer stating that they were now jobless as a result of the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown.
According to him, “Quarantine and self-isolation have humbled all our celebrities. Did you also realise that you are jobless?”
Reacting to the post, an angry Yemi Alade replied: “International artistes like us are steady getting paid thousands of foreign currency in royalties monthly and quarterly. I think you are the one in need of a job. Sorry, there is no vacancy here.
The attack on Yemi Alade followed a statement in which she said: “I am just realising that even though I have always had a house, I only started to live in it and call it home. I spent more time at airports and in Airplanes. Even though I truly miss spending time on stage, it feels good to be at home in a way and I am thankful.”
