Following the successful release of ‘Empress,’ Yemi Alade’s latest album, the body of work has turned a reference point among music lovers.
‘Empress’ is the second royal-themed album released by the self-acclaimed Mama Africa, having debuted with ‘King Of Queens.’
The 15-tracks album is a blend of tunes from different parts of Africa, attracting more fans to the singer.
It boasts of the typical South African music, EDM, Dancehall Coupe de cale, and Afropop. It also has Igbo highlife and RnB, as Yemi Alade tries to cement her place in Africa.
Collaborating on the album are artistes such as French singers Vegedream and Dadju, Patoranking, Rudeboy, the Mzansi Youth Choir, and British singer Estelle.
Yemi Alalde collaborates with Vegedream on ‘Lose My Mind,’ Patoranking features on ‘Temptation’ while Rudeboy is on ‘Deceive’ with the Mzansi Youth Choir on ‘Rain’. British singer, Estelle also features on ‘Weekend’.
